Gumbo Limbo is a large tree found in the southern United States, Central and South America, and the Caribbean. The bark of this tree has been used for 1000’s of years a topical remedy for wound healing and skin conditions. In Central America it is brewed and drank as a tea to address issues of the blood, bladder, for inflammation, and as a diuretic.
Benefits:
Directions: boil a small handful of the bark in about 4 cups of distilled water for 20 minutes. Steep bark for another 20 minutes, strain and drink 2-3 cups per day or as needed.
